COMIC BOOK WONDER DAZE
July Holiday Program.
East Melbourne Library

Comic books creation workshops and a short history introduction to comic books and animation art.
All ages, students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the workshop.
Staff supervisors work in publishing, editing, writing and creative arts, and have experience as integration aides in a classroom context.
Comic Book Wonder gives primary age students, older teens and young adults the opportunity to explore comic book wonder. The workshop also encourages family engagement with creativity.
Participate in a long comic drawing stretching across the floor.
Through participation you have the opportunity to have your work presented online at Osborne
and Fawkner.
Each workshop day is a one hour celebration of COMIC BOOK WONDER. Following on from the amazing workshops in 2025 we are bringing you multiple sessions to CELEBRATE COMIC BOOK ART!

Fun prizes are awarded after the session, which include; comics, comic book characters, collector cards and animation related figurines.
​
Through these activities participants will develop creative language, learn some fun facts and interact and engage with people within the publishing industry.
At conclusion of event participants will be given a takeaway Snack Box to be consumed outside the building.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
By entering this facility, you agree to abide by these conditions of entry
• Respect - All users and staff are to be treated with courtesy and respect at all times.
• Behaviour – Users must behave in an orderly, responsible, safe and lawful manner. No
running, swearing, theft, malicious damage or throwing items in the facility.
• Instructions – Users must follow all instructions or directions given by City of
Melbourne staff.
• Children – Children under the age of 16 must be supervised at all times. Children 16 and over are required to behave according to rules and regulations or will be asked to leave.
• Belongings – You are responsible for your personal belongings. You must attend to
these at all times.
• Dress – Appropriate dress is required, including wearing of footwear and a shirt/top.
• Advertising – Users must not canvass for any purpose or distribute handbills,
advertisements, petitions or other notices in the facility.
• Quiet – This facility is a shared space. Be mindful of others in regards to noise.
• Intoxication – Users must not be deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs,
or in the possession of prohibited substances.
Animals are not permitted
• Vehicles – Users must not ride scooters, bikes, skateboards, rollerskates, rollerblades
or similar items in the facility. Items left in the foyer are at the owners’ risk.
Please ensure that you do not enter the library if you are displaying any symptoms of fever,
cough or sore throat.
City of Melbourne staff have the right to ask any person to leave the facility if they do
not comply with these Conditions of Entry

A booking fee is applied per ticket. This fee is non-refundable as it covers the cost of processing your order.
Latecomers to the venue will not be admitted as this is at the expense of others. And latecomers will not have their ticket refunded.
Artwork remains with the publisher on conclusion of event. Artwork deemed offensive will not be permitted or published.
A takeaway box will available for participants on leaving the venue (exit of building) to take away from venue to consume. Food may contain traces of nuts, dairy fruit and gluten.

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Or will be denied entry and will not be refunded.
No photography of participating individuals is allowed. Photography of artwork is permitted.
