The Pearl Prize is presented by Osborne and Fawkner Publishing and supported by Midsumma Festival and City of Port Phillip.

The Pearl Prize 2025 is stretching into the parameters of AI (Artificial Intelligence)
and ML (Machine Learning) by presenting stories about contemporary, past or
futuristic possibilities of humans finding connection between the machine
mechanisms of the created and us and the nuances in relationships within the Queer
realm.
Finalists were selected from across Australia. Their words within these pages, touch on lived experience, a little fantasy, and a lot of self-expression, from writers within the LGBTQIA+ community.
So, open the pages and celebrate Queer writing in all of the glorious forms…

The theme of The Pearl Prize 2024 is A Brave(R) Space.Think about what bravery feels like to you and what creates a brave space. How have creatives, throughout queer history and in the present, presented their own take on bravery and fierceness.15 finalists were selected from across Australia. Their words within these pages, touch on lived experience, a little fantasy, and a lot of self-expression, from writers within the LGBTQIA+ community. Martha Ackroyd Curtis presented HELLO TITTY through interviews on Radio Adelaide, Joy FM Informer, Joy TV's Kerrie and Dolly's House Party which was streamed on Victoria Together, Joy FM, Midsumma Festival, Star Observor, and Melbourne Queer Film Festival. She was also featured in Australian Arts Review.
